Account Deletion Policy

Last updated July 2026. Placeholder copy — requires attorney review before public launch.

Draft notice: This document is a working draft. It must be reviewed and approved by a licensed attorney before FamilyOS is used publicly.

BLUF

You may request deletion of your FamilyOS account at any time. Deleting your account means FamilyOS will delete or de-identify account-linked personal information — including pregnancy, fertility, postpartum, mood, baby, nutrition, and AI interaction data — unless limited retention is legally required, operationally necessary for security, or permitted for compliance reasons. Deletion is not an emergency or customer-support channel.

Plain-language summary

  • You can delete your account at any time.
  • Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
  • We will not use deletion requests to deny you lawful privacy rights.

Who this covers

This Policy applies to anyone who creates, accesses, or uses a FamilyOS account, including beta testers, parents, expecting parents, spouses, partners, caregivers, invited family members, and authorized representatives where permitted by law. It also covers account-linked family profiles, child or baby profiles, pregnancy journeys, fertility logs, postpartum logs, nutrition entries, mood reflections, AI interactions, support messages, and user-generated content.

How to request deletion

In-app path

  1. Open the FamilyOS app.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Review the deletion notice.
  5. Confirm the request using the verification prompt.

Email path

Email jalenmpickens22@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion" from the email address on your account. We may ask you to verify access to that email address before we process the request.

Timing

We aim to complete ordinary verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legally permitted extensions where necessary.

What deletion covers

Deletion applies to account-linked personal information such as profile details, pregnancy and postpartum records, appointments, doctor questions, journal entries, water and weight logs, vitamin reminders and logs, symptom logs, checklist items, partner invitations, baby profiles and logs, postpartum check-ins, mood logs, support tasks, legal acceptances, notification preferences, beta feedback, and AI chat history.

Limited retention

We may retain limited information for legal compliance, audits, tax, accounting, payment disputes, chargebacks, dispute resolution, defense of claims, response to lawful requests, backup and disaster-recovery systems that are overwritten on a normal schedule, de-identified or aggregated records, records documenting that a deletion request was received and processed, and records involving suspected misuse, threats, or safety incidents.

Family and baby profiles

If you are the only account owner for a baby or child profile, that profile will be deleted or de-identified when your account is deleted, unless legally retained. If multiple users share a family profile, your personal entries will be removed while shared family content may remain available to other authorized users.

AI data

AI chat sessions and messages associated with your account are deleted with the account. Where a vendor stores prompts or outputs outside FamilyOS-controlled infrastructure, we request deletion consistent with vendor capabilities and our contracts.

Denials and appeals

We may deny, limit, or delay a deletion request when we cannot verify identity, when the request would violate law, when the request is excessive or manifestly unfounded, or when retention is required. If you believe we incorrectly denied a request, email us with "Deletion Appeal" in the subject line and we will review it.

Deletion does not cancel separate obligations

Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions, refund payments, or resolve outstanding legal matters. Please close any active subscriptions separately.
