Plain-English BLUF
FamilyOS may provide educational, organizational, faith-based, and supportive postpartum content, but it is not a medical provider, therapist, emergency service, lactation consultant, pediatric clinician, or substitute for professional care. Postpartum symptoms can become serious quickly. Contact a licensed healthcare professional for medical, mental health, medication, breastfeeding, or newborn concerns, and seek emergency help immediately for danger signs.
Emergency Warning
If you believe you, your baby, or another person may be in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services immediately. If you have thoughts of self-harm, suicide, harming the baby, harming another person, hallucinations, paranoia, extreme confusion, or loss of touch with reality, seek emergency help immediately and contact a trusted person who can stay with you until help arrives. FamilyOS is not monitored for emergencies.
Not Medical, Mental Health, Lactation, Pediatric, or Emergency Advice
FamilyOS does not provide medical advice, mental health counseling, psychiatric care, pediatric advice, lactation care, emergency response, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, or prevention of any condition. No provider-patient, therapist-client, lactation consultant-client, clergy-counseling, or emergency-response relationship is created by using FamilyOS.
Postpartum Mental Health Limitations
Postpartum sadness, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, rage, panic, depression, obsessive- compulsive symptoms, trauma symptoms, bonding concerns, and psychosis can require professional evaluation. FamilyOS may help you notice patterns or prepare questions for a clinician, but it cannot determine whether symptoms are normal, urgent, dangerous, or clinically significant. Mood scores, check-ins, journaling patterns, and AI summaries are not a diagnosis.
Physical Postpartum Recovery Limitations
Physical recovery after birth can involve bleeding, pain, incisions, stitches, pelvic floor symptoms, blood pressure changes, infection, blood clots, headaches, medication, breastfeeding issues, urinary or bowel symptoms, and sexual health concerns. FamilyOS content about physical recovery is general education only. Follow the instructions of your obstetrician, midwife, primary care clinician, emergency clinician, nurse line, lactation professional, or other licensed professional.
Baby, Feeding, and Sleep Limitations
FamilyOS baby-log, feeding, and sleep features are for organization only. They do not diagnose infant conditions, assess weight gain adequacy, evaluate feeding intolerance, determine safe sleep for your specific baby, or replace pediatric guidance.
AI and Automation Limitations
AI outputs are not clinical judgment and should not be treated as medical, mental health, pediatric, lactation, nutrition, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Verify important information with qualified professionals. See our AI Disclaimer.
Faith-Based Encouragement Is Not Clinical Care
FamilyOS may include values-based encouragement, reflection prompts, and family-culture content. These resources may support reflection, but they are not a substitute for medical care, mental health care, medication, therapy, or emergency intervention.
