FamilyOS may provide nutrition-related education, meal-planning support, grocery organization, reminders, journaling prompts, faith-based encouragement, and AI-assisted suggestions. FamilyOS does not provide medical advice, nutrition therapy, dietetic services, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, lactation care, pediatric care, emergency care, or individualized clinical decision-making.

Do not rely on FamilyOS to manage pregnancy nutrition, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, infant feeding, fertility, allergies, chronic disease, weight loss, supplements, medications, or any medically restricted diet without guidance from a licensed healthcare professional.

Emergency Warning

Call 911 or seek emergency medical help immediately if you or a baby experiences trouble breathing, severe allergic reaction, swelling of the lips/tongue/throat, blue or gray coloring, severe dehydration, fainting, seizure, chest pain, severe abdominal pain, severe vomiting, blood in vomit or stool, confusion, signs of stroke, thoughts of self-harm, thoughts of harming a baby, or any urgent medical concern.

FamilyOS nutrition content is for general educational, faith-supportive, and family- organization purposes. It is not a substitute for professional care from a physician, registered dietitian, certified lactation consultant, pediatrician, obstetrician, midwife, therapist, pharmacist, or other qualified professional.

High-Risk Nutrition Topics

  • Pregnancy — do not rely on FamilyOS for gestational diabetes, hypertension, preeclampsia risk, hyperemesis, anemia, weight-gain concerns, food safety, prenatal supplements, or medically restricted diets.
  • Postpartum — do not rely on FamilyOS for recovery nutrition, severe fatigue, excessive bleeding, infection concerns, medication safety, postpartum mood conditions, or weight-loss plans after birth.
  • Breastfeeding or pumping — FamilyOS cannot determine milk supply, infant intake, latch issues, mastitis risk, medication safety, hydration needs, or whether supplements/herbs are safe while breastfeeding.
  • Formula feeding — FamilyOS cannot replace formula label instructions or pediatric guidance.
  • Infant solids — FamilyOS cannot determine readiness, choking risk, allergy timing, or safe textures for a specific baby.
  • Fertility — nutrition suggestions are not a fertility treatment plan.
  • Allergies and eating disorders — require specialized professional support.

Supplements, Fasting, and Weight Management

FamilyOS does not endorse or prescribe supplements, herbs, teas, detox products, weight- loss products, fertility products, or high-dose vitamins. FamilyOS does not recommend fasting for pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, or adolescent users, or users with eating-disorder history or medical conditions, unless a licensed clinician has specifically advised it. FamilyOS should not be used to set aggressive weight-loss, fasting, calorie restriction, or body-composition goals.
