BLUF — Cookie Policy Position

FamilyOS uses cookies and similar technologies only to operate the service, protect accounts, remember user choices, improve performance, and understand beta usage in a privacy-respectful way. Because FamilyOS handles pregnancy, postpartum, baby, mood, fertility, nutrition, and future finance-related information, we treat tracking technologies with heightened care.

Beta rule: FamilyOS does not use cookies, pixels, SDKs, or local storage to sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, target ads using sensitive family or health-related information, or store raw pregnancy, fertility, mood, baby, medical, or financial details in cookies.

Who We Are

This Cookie Policy explains how [Legal Entity Name], doing business as FamilyOS, uses cookies and similar technologies on [Website URL], the FamilyOS mobile application, and related services that link to this policy. Read it together with the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Medical Disclaimer, AI Disclaimer, Postpartum Disclaimer, Fertility Disclaimer, Nutrition Disclaimer, and any feature-specific notices inside the product.

What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies include SDKs, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, session storage, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, crash reporting tools, and analytics tools.

Sensitive Family and Health Data Rule

  • We do not place due dates, fertility windows, cycle details, pregnancy status, baby names, baby birthdates, baby health notes, mood journal content, symptom descriptions, postpartum recovery details, feeding logs, medical notes, medication names, diagnoses, insurance details, or financial details inside cookie values.
  • We do not use sensitive family or health-related information to target advertising.

Categories We Use

  • Essential — sign-in, session security, consent, and core product operation. Cannot be turned off.
  • Preference — remember settings such as theme, timezone, or reminder choices.
  • Analytics / performance — measure aggregate usage, diagnose errors, and improve the beta experience. Only used where disclosed and, when required, consented to.
  • Advertising — not used in beta. Any future use would require explicit disclosure and consent, and would exclude sensitive family and health-related data.

Consent and Cookie Controls

Where required, we show a cookie banner or preference center before setting non-essential cookies, with clear "accept all," "reject all," and category-level customization. You can change your choices at any time from a footer link or account privacy settings, and we will apply changes as quickly as reasonably possible.

Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Signals

FamilyOS honors applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law or where we have chosen it as a product standard.

Children, Babies, and Family Members

FamilyOS may contain information about babies, children, spouses, partners, caregivers, and family members. Only submit information you are authorized to provide. We do not knowingly use cookies to track children under 13 for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted service providers (for example, hosting, error monitoring, and analytics) that may set their own cookies to help operate FamilyOS.
