Our Commitment
FamilyOS is committed to making its website, mobile app, digital content, and support experiences accessible to as many users as reasonably possible, including users with disabilities and users who rely on assistive technologies.
FamilyOS is designed for families navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, baby care, mood tracking, fertility, nutrition, and eventually family finance. Because those moments can involve stress, fatigue, physical limitation, vision changes, one-handed phone use, sleep deprivation, and emotional sensitivity, accessibility is part of product trust — not an optional feature.
During beta, the product may not be perfect. We make good-faith efforts to identify, prioritize, and fix accessibility barriers, and we welcome feedback from users, caregivers, partners, advocates, clinicians, and assistive-technology users.
Scope
- The FamilyOS public website, landing pages, legal pages, and help content.
- The FamilyOS mobile application and any beta app experiences.
- Account creation, login, onboarding, consent flows, cookie consent, privacy controls, and account deletion flows.
- Pregnancy, postpartum, baby, mood, fertility, nutrition, and future family-finance features.
- Emails, notifications, customer support workflows, contact forms, and beta feedback forms.
Standard and Product Target
FamilyOS targets substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA for user-facing web content and mobile-responsive experiences, subject to technical feasibility, product maturity, and beta limitations. For the mobile app, the same functional principles apply: perceivable information, operable controls, understandable flows, and robust compatibility with platform accessibility features.
What We Work Toward
- Visual access — sufficient color contrast, scalable text, readable typography, clear labels, non-color-only indicators.
- Keyboard and switch access — keyboard-equivalent navigation where applicable; no traps.
- Screen reader access — semantic headings, meaningful labels, alt text, readable focus order, accessible error messages.
- Touch access — touch targets large enough for one-handed, postpartum, low-mobility, or tremor-affected use.
- Cognitive access — plain language, predictable navigation, calm layouts, clear next steps.
- Motion and sensory access — avoid flashing content; support reduced motion where possible.
- Forms and consent — understandable, operable forms, checkboxes, errors, required fields, and consent choices.
Known Limitations
Some parts of FamilyOS may not yet meet our targets. If you run into a barrier, please tell us so we can prioritize a fix and, where possible, provide an accessible alternative in the meantime.
Feedback
If you experience an accessibility issue or have a suggestion, contact us at [accessibility@familyos.example]. Where you're comfortable sharing it, please include the page or feature, a brief description of the barrier, the device and browser or app version, and the assistive technology you were using. We will make good-faith efforts to respond and improve accessibility, and we will not require you to disclose medical, disability, pregnancy, fertility, mental-health, or baby information to receive help.
